| disoriented. i like the way the word sounds, the way it rolls around in my mouth before leaving. it reminds me of myself, right now. except no, i’m not on a romantic tango with life. and i do not like it one bit, watching as life spins around me, as people come and go like bumper cars heading in all different directions. we keep dancing around each other, like life has given us different rhythms to dance to in our little corner of the big room (so big i feel myself getting lost among the people that shouldn’t have the ability to capture my heart. like how you already did) but just give me the glance, reach out your hand to grasp mine and i’ll stop spinning. because only you can keep me sane. only you can slow me down. |
